I have a 2018 Nakamichi Shockwafe Pro 7.1.4 Channel Soundbar. Need to know if there is a way to retain volume setting when rebooting. I have been unable to do it using the optical or HDMI inputs.

Hi Carlhen, could you try installing the latest firmware for your Shockwafe Pro 7.1 DTS:X/SSE via the link below?
Select SSE Series > Shockwafe Pro 7.1. Then follow the instructions on screen.
You will need a USB 2.0 drive with less than 32GB Capacity to perform the firmware update. Let me know if you need any further assistanceNakamichi Ninja - For support and direct contact options, visit our Helpdesk. Thank you!

Good news. The steps recommended by the people (Shawn and Ian) at the helpdesk worked. Also, the update solved the problem with losing the sound level settings. (The issue with the telephone message and it being a holiday was because someone forgot to turn it off Monday.)
